Glaamorr Niacinamide Serum Before or After Moisturizer?

17 Sep 2026 0 comments

For a straightforward routine, apply Glaamorr 5% Niacinamide Brightening Serum after cleansing and before moisturiser. In the morning, finish with sunscreen.

This order is practical because a lightweight serum can contact clean skin before a moisturiser forms a more occlusive layer. It is not a competition between products: moisturiser and serum perform different jobs in the routine.

The basic order

Morning

  1. Gentle cleanser
  2. Glaamorr 5% Niacinamide Brightening Serum
  3. Moisturiser, if needed
  4. Sunscreen

Evening

  1. Remove makeup if necessary
  2. Gentle cleanser
  3. Niacinamide serum
  4. Moisturiser

How to apply the serum

Dispense a small amount without touching the dropper to your skin. Spread a thin layer over the face, avoiding the eye area and irritated or broken skin. Give it a moment to settle, then apply moisturiser. More product does not automatically mean a better result.

The current Glaamorr package identifies 5% niacinamide and also lists liquorice, alpha arbutin and kojic acid. Because this is a multi-ingredient cosmetic formula, patch testing is sensible—especially if your routine already contains exfoliating acids, retinoids or other strong actives.

What the evidence says—and does not say

Clinical research has studied topical niacinamide at different concentrations and in different formulations. A double-blind, split-face trial of a moisturiser containing 5% niacinamide reported improvements in several measured appearance endpoints over 12 weeks compared with its control. Another clinical study reported reduced hyperpigmentation with a 5% niacinamide moisturiser. These studies support interest in niacinamide as an ingredient, but they do not prove that every 5% serum will produce identical results for every person.

Consistency and tolerance matter more than trying to speed up the process. Stop using the product if it repeatedly causes burning, swelling, hives or a persistent rash, and seek professional advice when needed.

What if your skin feels dry?

Apply the serum in a thin layer and follow with moisturiser. If dryness continues, reduce the frequency rather than adding more drops. People with very reactive skin may prefer to introduce the product on alternate evenings and build up only if comfortable.

The practical answer

Use the serum before moisturiser. Keep the routine uncomplicated, apply sunscreen in the daytime and judge the product over time rather than expecting an overnight change.
